It can be frustrating when a tooth that has already been treated begins to cause problems again. Root canal treatment can fail for several reasons, such as complex canal anatomy that was missed the first time, a delayed crown placement, or a new fracture that allowed bacteria back in. Keep the Area Clean: Brush gently but thoroughly around the tooth and use an antibacterial mouthwash to keep the external bacterial load low.
Avoid High Pressure: Try not to chew hard foods on the affected side, as a re-infected tooth is often more brittle and prone to fracturing under stress.
