A gap between your teeth—known as a diastema—can be a unique feature, but for many, it is a source of self-consciousness. Whether you have a single gap between your front teeth or multiple spaces caused by small teeth or a wide arch, we have several discreet ways to close them.
Cosmetic Composite Bonding: The fastest solution. We sculpt tooth-coloured resin to the sides of your teeth to close the gap invisibly in just one appointment.
Invisalign® Clear Aligners: If your gaps are caused by position, Invisalign® can gently move your teeth together for a permanent, natural result.
Ceramic Fixed Braces: A discreet orthodontic option using tooth-coloured brackets and clear wires to close spaces efficiently while remaining less noticeable than traditional braces.
Metal Braces: The traditional and highly effective method for closing significant gaps and correcting complex bite issues with precision.
Porcelain Veneers: For a total transformation, veneers can be used to reshape the teeth and eliminate spacing entirely.
At Acorn Dental, our skilled dentists will assess the spacing of your teeth and discuss your ideal smile goals to find the best solution for you. If you have a small gap, we can typically close it using cosmetic composite bonding in just one visit, requiring no drilling or injections. For more significant spacing or alignment issues, additional treatments such as Invisalign® clear aligners or porcelain veneers may be recommended to achieve a perfectly seamless result.

Yes. Invisalign is highly effective at gently moving teeth together to close gaps permanently. Unlike bonding, which adds material to the teeth, Invisalign repositions your natural teeth for a more uniform and healthy alignment.
If we use Invisalign or orthodontics, you will need to wear a retainer at night to keep your teeth in their new position. For bonding, the gap won’t “reopen,” but you will need to maintain your oral health to keep the resin looking its best.
